Sunday afternoon Nov 21st, 1921 My dearest Quartet ( Vera, Les, Bill and Helen)
You will be glad to know Louie (Auntie Lou\emdash Vera's sister) got safely back this morning and has had a lovely holiday and enjoyed every minute of it all. I am very tired so shall not write much, as I am going to Tintinara with Geoff and Judy tomorrow morning and expect to be away a week. How time does fly, we leave four weeks from yesterday for Kangaroo Island and then DV, our Geoff hopes to be married the end of Feb and that always means a certain excitement. Our plans so far are to go to Brighton on the 1st Feb and Rupert will come for a little sea air and bathing before Geoff goes for his honeymoon. What a comfort that our Billy boy is really now getting stronger and probably then once he makes a start to get about his recovery will be very quick for he is such a strong bonny boy. Mr. Russell (Frank A. Russell of Paralowie) the other day told me he was telling Mr. Scammell (Alf Scammell \emdash head of Fauldings lived next door to Bests in Beaumont) the symtom (sic) the other day and he at once said, Eucalyptus and the oil of cloves was such an excellent thing and Mr Russell seemed to think he meant to send for a bottle at once so if you get it you will know it comes from Mr. ScammelL but I am not clear how it is to be used.
How lovely the month at Woody Point should be for you, does Ada go with you, you could hardly do by yourself could you although, of course, by January, our boy should be quite himself again. Some day perhaps we can all go to the seaside together, it would be lovely. However it is lovely for you to get away and change will do Les good too.
Auntie Jennie (Auntie Lois Wendt's mother) and Lois are going to Tasmania early in the new year. Jule (Uncle Jule \emdash eldest of Koeppen Wendt, Married to Nell) and Nell are back, I have not seen them. Marg (Uncle Jule's sister) is at Elsie's (Elsie Magarey) this week and going to Wakefield Street tomorrow for a week, we have no maid, so it would be out of the question her coming here. She is still very weak, but daily getting stronger.
Much love and a big kiss for each of my pets and hugs for our darling gorgeous pair,
From Mother (Granny Henderson \emdash Vera's mother)
