Louise Turtle (nee Webster) was an astronomer. Following an undergraduate career at the University of Adelaide, she joined an early graduate program at Mt Stromlo and gained a PhD in 1967 titled "Cygnus X-1 \emdash a Spectroscopic Binary with a Heavy Companion?"
